SO MUCH has been happening since we moved, including becoming parents.
Yep that’s right, we have a fur-baby.
Meet Vader
We got him a couple weeks ago, when he was eight weeks old, and upon first arriving in his new home, he was absolutely terrified.
He yowled for 2 days straight (calling for his momma and siblings) and even got stuck behind the kitchen cabinets which resulted in a 5 hour “excavation rescue mission.”
However, the dust has settled, and this little guy is now in charge. He is a little ball of fluff and curiosity. Instead of yowling in distress, he does these cute little curious chirps as he explores and talks to us. He plays in open spaces instead of hiding under the couch. He eats a lot and sleeps more. At night he goes bonkers and sprints back and forth down the hall.
He is my whole heart! I can’t imagine life without him.
If you’d like to follow along with Vader’s adventures you can do so here.
In other news, I’ve been settling into our new place and LOVING it! We are right next to a beautiful forest where I gather endless inspiration. I’ve done a few paintings there and look forward to many more. Here are some photos and paintings I’ve done inspired by my new forest.
I’m planning another blog post with an update about my oil painting process, since a lot has changed since I last discussed it!
