Description of locations:
Neist Point
The famous Neist Point lighthouse sits at the most western edge of the Isle of Skye. The path takes you up and down the steep coastal cliffs, with amazing views in all directions. On a clear day you can see to the Outer Hebrides. Most of the times I’ve been there it was very stormy which offers a different type of moody beauty.
Bealach na Bà
Inspired by the highest road in Britain, the Bealach na Bà. Also known as “Pass of the Cattle” and not for the faint of heart! This twisty single-track road takes you up dizzying heights and offers amazing views back towards Loch Carron.
Standing Stones of Calanais (Callanish)
These large standing stones were erected over 5,000 years ago on the Isle of Lewis. The origins and use of the stone circle remain a mystery, but are commonly thought to have been used as an astronomical observatory and for rituals. There’s no doubt they inspire images of magic!
