Ready for some eye candy? I have a short photo essay for you!
This past Sunday we took a trip west to Strathcarron (near Applecross) and Shieldaig. First, and most excitingly, we visited the Bealach Gallery where I now have 3 paintings on display (yes, for sale!). I am so honored that Sharon likes my work and believes in me enough to display it in her beautiful gallery. Seriously, her gallery is gorgeous. In fact, it’s my favorite gallery in Scotland because of the amazing selection of contemporary Scottish landscapes. If you ever drive near Applecross, make sure to visit her gallery! (There’s also a cafe with delicious food and drink!)
So along the way, I yelled at Wolfy to stop so I could take photos…we also did an impromptu hike up to a waterfall which you will see later. Now I know I can hike in a skirt and heels.
But thanks to the very rainy spring we’ve had, there were massive waterfalls pouring down the mountains everywhere we looked.
As you can see, it was VERY moody…so sometimes I took photos from within the car. Either way… this is how beautiful the west coast is. Even just a drive will take your breath away.
So, no more delay, on with the photography!
Driving route: A832/A890 from Garve to Stratchcarron, A896 to Shieldaig, and then back towards Garve.
Feature: Torridon Mountain Range
Despite the clouds playing tricks on us, we also had some beautiful weather and now I’m full of inspiration to paint!
